对船上的飲用水應该經常檢测。船上造水机造的水，應该按照設備廠家說明書進行處理和檢查。船上对飲用水的檢测應该半年一次。檢测的样品应该取自船舶所有内部淡水艙和經过厨房水龍頭，並填寫飲用水檢测紀錄。
